I understand that people are busy, because I can be busy sometimes too, but I think how many days the staff here forgets about the anagrams is riddiculous, which is already an understatement. If you forget once or twice, I guess it's bad, but not awful, but it's not the first time and sometimes when there's no anagrams it's for 3 or 4 days! I am not sure what is up, but you feel an air of carelessness and irresponsibility. Is there a way to somehow organize a system so words would be available everyday? some of us mostly comes on for the games, and it's frustrating to us how many days there is no anagram mania.
Also, the lack of raffles. our points is yet again pointless. I mean, what is the point of having points? the raffles were fun when they lasted. either put them up and be consistent, or develop something else for the points or quit using points all together. I still say if you maintain the raffles system then be consistent with it, I mean, drawing a raffle can't take possibly that long can it? and, to put one up should take maybe a little longer perhaps, but writing a short blob, titling, and posting the raffle description still shouldn't take that long should it?
and, while I am on the subject, the make a friend feature is a little bit pathetic, yes, I have ignored a lot of people but that should not count against me. A lot of people it suggests I have blocked but that should be embedded in to the code to check that too.
I do agree that either these features should be fully functional, or just taken down, much like the alternate universe thing last year. As for "make A New Friend", as far as I know, they're just bringing it back to give it a try again, and is still not perfect by any means. give them a chance on that one. But totally agreed with the gripes about anagram and raffles. No point having them there if they're not going to be active.
yeah i agree with the anagrams, all though all the times i've played their's been a word. i don't play often, but understand how it can get anoying
with the raffles, totally agree. it should be stuck to or taken down. only thing i would say for the raffles is, it's not always easy to come up with new prizes.
for example: paying 100 points to win a raffle that is for points is pretty wasteful in my view. it's still points, and they are still pointless.
and make a new friend?. i've used it a few times- but it always suggests people i don't like. so.
I agree about the rafils, i kinda got Excited when i saw it, clicked on it, and nothing was up, lol. what's up with that?
another thing that no one can keep up with. *sigh*
I've said for awhile now whenever this subject comes up that points should be done away with. I understand that they're enjoyable for a lot of people, but if they're not useful, I say get rid of them. Or at least make it so that you can opt out of them if you want to.

Well, you have to have something to be able to bet with when playing betting games, but don't get us all excited about raffles, and then just sort of forget about them a few months later. Remember all the hyp when they were brand new? I mean, if it's not working out, that's understandable, but then just call it a day and take it down.
yeah, a lot of people it suggest for me, is either people I have spoken with and do not like or have blocked and at least don't penalize us for blocking people by suggesting blocked user in the final update.
yeah, and I am sure if you want to keep some of these features up some members would not mind helping out and for example putting some anagrams in for example or doing different things to enrich certain features. I would help if that is necessary, if it makes it more fun for people. I mean, assign a few people to edit anagrams and make it only possible to edit that. and have them take turns. of course you'll have to make sure they are trustworthy like in any powerful position, so in this case they can not mess unnecessarily with the anagrams
or if you take one of my ideas below a zone store, someone to manage that and the transactions and maintinence, but you would not really need any.
well, we could just make points apply and active and sene in the betting tables if all they are good for and we shouldn't be able to give points to each other then.... just doesn't seem right in that case, but opting out of points is actually not such a bad idea that would be kind of cool and, hahah! my thoughts exactly if I put points in there for points, then what the hell is the point? some of them were useful though, like username changes and premium membership plus that was a good tempt for people who are not premium members to get a good taste of premium memembership kind of a bit of a good lead and advertising tactic. but anyway, and, some of the others was good, though the number and the messenger address was kind of funny. but anyway, criticizing raffles wasn't my point, and I ain't really criticizing that either. but anyway, the best source for answers and ideas is often us the members maybe have a suggestion thing and give some points to people who come up with those ideas of what to put there. like under a hundred and reuse it a few times and get more suggestions and, I am sure we'd all be glad to propose something, if we had ideas. I still say that mud thing wasn't a bad way to get points kind of like what I think my sister was describing in eeopets would be a fun use of our points. we have a mud thing like that in the past and then members can go to the zone store to get like furniture for our house and food and goodies, and stuff, and it would be all automatic transactions, and, we can also do like store items outside of the games, like instead of raffles like on a few boards a store you can spend points on to buy like features very small things of course, pretty avatars, maybe like the ability for sound avatars and different things, like a temporary board rank you can only have for two weeks and then it's gone, again. or other features like that or hell, you can even raffel draw some of these things even with the mud idea. or a completely different idea for points. it could be for the board, which also needs a bit of work too, speaking of flaws.
the problem with the mud thing, rachel, the staff just can't keep it up.

but that had no storyline, and all people could do was create custom objects and rooms.
i seem to remember it used to though, something about a zone tower, or am i just picturing something that never happened. it really wouldn't surprise me.
i'd suggest members suggestion of the month, where the members pick from a variety of suggestions and vote on the one they'd like the best. then, the winning suggestion can be made possible- by 1 of the staff, and also the member who suggested it. that way the member gets their say to how they want it, and they get to help with the site- and with what they suggested.
again, trouble with that is, it will probably be forgotten about after a while.
hmm, points for posting to the boards sounds nice- with each rank, you get awarded a certain amount of points.
okay- so, the points are pointless.. we seem to agree on that.
what about turning the points in to chips, and have them only work on high low and blackjack. the other games such as anagram mania, you win chips for those games. but i'm thinking 2 combined set of chips. so if you had 100 chips for blackjack, then used 10 to play, you have 100 for high-low, if you lose at blackjack or not it stays the same.
it probably won't make much of a diffrence, but if we scrapped the idea of giving points to people- why would you want to give pointless points to people anyway so that they can give them to others anyway?. lol. then we'd just have 2 games, 2 sets of chips, and that would be it. no more complaining about points being pointless, they wouldn't exist
Dan, the problem with your voting suggestion, as good an idea as that is, is that the staff would have to keep that up, too. haha.
thinking back on it, I feel bad for painting anagrams in the same light as raffles. It can get annoying when we go days without having any, but it's not something I would demand a refund for my premium membership over, or anything like that. Just thought I'd clarify. it seems that, for the most part, anagrams are fairly consistent.
I like that idea about chips. That way you could send them to other people if you wanted to, and they wouldn't be pointless. Lol.
Sorry, I work full time and also help maintain other websites, so this one sometimes gets dropped for awhile. I put up anagrams last time for several days, and then came back to find no one had updated them for one day. They're now updated through July 6 or something like that.
With the raffles, there is nothing CL's can do, only admins, same goes for points, Alternate Universe, Make a Friend, etc. Anyway, my point with all this is that we're doing the best we can. Did anyone bother to let a CL know through a private message or via the email facilities that there was no Anagram? As far as I know, the answer to this one is a no. We can't always be on and make sure everything is updated all the time, remember that this is a voluntary position, so perhaps a proactive approach to this type of situation would have helped get a response in a faster way.
That's not to say it's not our fault at all, because it is, but being informed through some other means would have helped remedy the situation faster.
Maybe, the admins and some other people who know php should redo the rafels thing. I go by what I've already said; the rafels should be contributed by users. In that way, we would have our own little market system, with things people wanted to get rid of and other people wanted. Yes, this means that some can get a lot of stuff by playing blackjack, but that would be the users' decision as they were the ones who volunteered the thing for purchase or rafel. Then, they get all the points, which they can use for purchasing. That means the admins don't have to pay for stuff to give to people for points. In fact, there could be point auctions, point rafels, and a point market! Just imagine it. That would be nice. What do you think?
hmm. you'd have to have a lot of things that people would have to donate. not sure how many would do that.
i mean remember when the raffles first started? somebody paid for that clock.

Really glad there's no complaints about Anagrams now, but if someone can just remove the useless Raffles link and Grafiti, then this Zone is perfectamondo. :)
Graffiti is not going to disappear because *you* think it's useless. Sorry. the online world doesn't work that way, much less the offline one.

sounds good at a glance, but someone would have to keep track of all that and manage it.
The truth is that I dont think Jay and others forsaw how the zone would become over time.
I'm sure they have other things to do (the people that do put time into this thing such as the CL's, admin's etc.) and the zone isn't top priority
